The rain hadn’t stopped in three days…every last thing in the whole damn city damp or soaked. The sun hadn’t even peeked from the thick angry clouds that swirled over head. Despite the downpour, the city seemed to get along just fine. People still went about their lives, shopped and made business. Zeke’s shop was no different…despite how disappointed each customer was when they left…their need for a fortune or parlor trick unfulfilled, because despite the fact that Zeke and his sister shared blood, they did not in fact share talents. Lilith simply was not the mystic that her brother was…no matter how much she didn’t desire to be…in fact she didn’t even know why she had come in today at all. She certainly had other, far more interesting things to do with her life…like designing some new and fantastic way to cover ones head from a constant thunderstorm that seemed to brew and stick when the people of Boston needed it the least… Yet…here she sat, passing her time with short sales of herbs and spells scrawled on scrap paper, not because she wanted to be, but because she was so very interested in her brothers current location and the state of his little shop of tricks and mystery…
Zeke Baron had been missing for three weeks…now while this would be a cause of alarm for most normal people; this most certainly was not the first time something like his had happened. Zeke was known to be a wandering heart. In fact he was the kind of man to pack a bag and head to some distant land on the fancy of his shoes whenever he had the chance…leaving behind his shop of “sister’s time wasting fun” in the very capable hands of Ms. Lilith A.P. Steele-Binks.
So for the hundredth and a half thousandth time today, Lilith listened to an old bird inquire over the correct combination of herbs and mojo jo jo to make the warts on her toes vanish. “Do you think that it will be painful my dear?” the lady asked, her wandering eye rolling in her head, making Lilith cringe in her boots. She shifted on her stool behind the register, leaning all the way back, “I don’t really know ma’am. Zeke is the one to ask and he is out of town for awhile…I just open the store every few days to make sure we keep enough money coming in to keep my beautiful apartment…well…beautiful…please come back when he is around and he will be able to help you with everything you need…”
The old woman mumbled to herself as she weighed her options, “I suppose I can do that. I will take the spell then…how much will that cost…?” Lilith leaned forward, hitting a button on the old register, “Four Dollars please. And if you could please put your name on the list there so that I can hand it to him when he comes back and he can get back to you as soon as possible…” she motioned to a piece of paper laying on the counter near the vials of “unicorn snot” that were actually labeled for healing some ailment Lilith didn’t actually care much about. The woman handed her the money and carefully scrawled her name at the bottom of an already long list, “Thank you dear…” and she waddled from the store.
“You’re welcome! Please come again!” Lilith waved, trying to keep some peace with her brothers faithful customers. She glanced down at the time piece on her wrist and sighed, “Six more minutes…thank…Go-“the bell above the door rang again, a man and his wife stepping through the threshold. Lilith slammed her head down on the counter with a groan.

She stood there akwardly in the street, wet dripping from her hair and hands as she stared back at the people walking along the store fronts, cars passing slowly, honking, drivers yelling. The woman was lost and confused, as she scanned her surroundings there was a shop that stood out to her for some reason, as though she was drawn to it.
She bolted between cars, kicking open the door. She turned to the nearest shelf, spinning around it to hide from the prying eyes. She stood there a moment trying to think back on the day's events leading up, finally her eyes rose to the woman behind the counter.
"You look familiar...," Reika stepped toward her, emotions combining, "You're Lilith, Zeke's sister! THAT LITTLE ASS OWES ME A FUCKING WINDOW!! WHERE IS HE?" She stood before the woman, angry, dripping, and cold, not quite sure what else to do with herself, "ON that note! WHERE the HELL am I?" She turned motioning with her hand the people staring at her through the glass of the front of the store.

“And who the hell are you?!” Lilith came off the stool in a rush, thankful the last customers had left only moments before, making this wet and soaked woman the only one in the store, and she was obviously pissed. Lilith reached for her pistol, prepared to do what was needed to protect herself and heaven allow the store. Both their names rolled off the strangers lips, and the irritation dripped from each movement of her tongue. Instinct flared in her chest and she felt the fear for her brother’s life thick in her throat. She raised the small gun, steady and solid toward the middle of the women’s chest, “What business do you have with my brother lady? And you better talk fast cause it’s just about closing time.” She clicked back the brass hammer and narrowed her gaze. The crowd gathering outside was quiet, but with relief she could see people drawing their own weapons, to protect her if this women attacked. It was good to know that folks would stand up for their own around here still…even with the changes the world had endured after WW2 and the German’s victory. They may have won but they didn’t end the spirit of her America….not even by a long shot. She focused her gaze on the woman again, gun still up, hand steady and true...

Lyra watched from the outside. Her fast pressed tight against the window. "Whats going on inside there!?" she said mainly to herself and even though she was already wide eyed, her eyes grew to the size of dinner plates when she saw the gun. "Oh no no no..." she ran into the store. "Oh no please we don't need to shot her, maybe just gently give her a swift kick in the bottom." Lyra gulped pushing back her soaked hair then looked at Reika.
"What are you even wearing?" she asked confused looking Reika up and down. She had seen many people from the town but never this strangly dressed lady. Lyra absent mindedly squeezed the water from her hair and shook the droplets from her finger tips. She minded her distances from Lilth and her pistol and the strang woman who had been causing a bother to Lilth.

Ms. Drusilla Scarborough stood under the awning that lead to her Detective agency, brass key in one hand, purse in the other, and her top hat under her arm.
Locking the door, she heaved a sigh of relief, glad that the day had drawn to a close. Tucking the key into her pocket, she put her hat on firmly, tilting it so it would keep the rain off her face, the bright red ribbon wrapped around it glowing against the black ensemble she had chosen for today's outfit.
Looking out at the sky and wondering when this horrid rain would stop, she stepped out into the street and started walking at a clipped pace towards her apartment not too far away. After walking a block or so, she realized that there was a small crowd ahead in front of a shop that specialized in magic and spells. She had never personally gone into this particular store, but she was curious as to why there was such a crowd today.
Stepping up and holding her purse tighter against herself, she made her way to the front of the small crowd. She could hear yelling all the way out into the street! What was going on in there? Peering in the window, she could make out several people making a commotion in the magic store. Was some one in trouble in there? It sure sounded like it...
Making up her mind when she saw the hazy outline of what looked to be a pistol appear, she carefully opened the door, glancing around and taking stock.
Seeing three women, one with a pistol pointed at another dressed in strange clothes, the third standing by the display labeled "Unicorn Snot", Drusilla wasn't sure what to make of the situation.
"What is going on? Do I need to call for the police?" She asked, still holding the door open behind her to yell for help if need be.

Her body tensed as the gun barrel came into focus, the women's voices hardly audible to her. Reflexes took the reigns as the hammer clicked back, she shifted into a more defensive position. She raised her hands to Lilith and the crowd gathered, palms to them.
"look," she swallowed, clearing her throat, "i have no idea where I am. I'm lost and very confused. My apologies putting everyone on edge." She looked toward the woman behind the counter, and the one at the door. despite the fact that she had long realized she had none of her own weapons on her, as though they had never been, she instinctively reached for them. Her jeans were heavy and dark with the wet still, her shirts and hair dripping, she started to shiver from the chill.

Lilith didn't lower the gun, not yet...this woman's apologies meant nothing with the anger she had conjured within Ms. Steele-Binks heart. She had a thousand questions to demand and a hundred more to scream in her face, but she couldn't find her voice. It had failed her so suddenly.
Images of her brother in trouble filled her mind and she felt a tick of fury begin in her jaw. If this lady had touched or hurt him, Lilith would have his head on a silver plate.
She heard the woman to her left and shook her head, finally finding the sound in her throat, "No...I can handle this..." she looked to her fellow citizens and nodded once.

Lyra watched it all her mouth slightly ajar. She didn't understand anything that had really just happened, and she blanked on when a fourth woman appeared. Lyra wanted to ask for this strang woman to explain what the hell was going on, but see stayed silent her eyes flicking between Ms. Steele-Binks, and the soaking wet woman then the lady at the door.
She watched studing them all and saw the tick in Liliths jaw. "May I try to defuse the situation. I think it might be a bit safer if you set the gun down miss." she spoke softly. 'You can cut the tention between those two with a knife...' she thought and waited to see who was going to make the next move.

Her heart was racing, she was not well acustomed to being in this situation, weaponless. Her instincts moved her, eyes not even moving as she scanned what she could see. Her mind caught a door toward the back, there must be an exit there.
She shuffled her feet slowly, keeping her eyes trained on the woman with deadly close aim on her. Her mind steps ahead of her, planning every step through the back room, out the door, and down the wet street not stopping untill she was on the outskirts of town, safe and hidden. Her feet were ready to follow through as she took another step sideways.

Lyra's eyes stopped on on the woman, watching her and wandering what she was going to do. She was sidesteeping slowly. Lyra had also watched the crowd wane as the excitment died. "People around here are such gossip whores." she mumbled rolling her eyes. Lyra looked back to Lilith and about ran to get out of any line of fire.

Lilith kept her eyes on the woman in front of her, gun still up, "Don't even think about it...I can destroy your knees before you get out my door...besides...the sucker is bolted shut...damn the health codes." she moved, threatening the woman with her body language, "Where are you even going to go? You look like you feel off some other planet and landed face first in a pile of horse shit." The need to protect her brothers honor and store fed her veins with adrenaline and the intense bravery she felt all the way into her toes as she spoke.

He had just been walking down the road, he had no real destination this time around. There was a popular shop on the route today and as he approached he realized there was a comotion, many people pressing themselves near the windows. He rolled his eyes and began moving to cross the street and keep his distance when he heard mention of a strangely dressed woman.
The crowds were dispersing as he finally got close enough to see inside. His eyes trained immediately on the shorter woman at the end of the gun barrel. His closest friend stood there vulnerable, death staring her in the face. Panic nearly over ran him as he pushed his way to the door not letting anyone stop him as he kicked through the door. His hand was on the woman's gun hand before he could think twice about it.
"Threatening an un armed individual," He looked down on her, trying to keep his anger in check, "Does Lilith Binks' honor stand for that?" He couldn't help but to stand at full height, though he figured his appearance nor his size would stop this woman's anger, yet he stood.

The man passed by him in a rush, and Donny’s blood flared hot in his chest as this man took control, putting Lilith now into danger. He growled, shoving past the few people who still stood around the windows, slamming into the door himself. “Hand off her sir! Or you will have more than her honor to deal with!” Donovan drew the small gun he carried everywhere in case of times like this and brought it close to the man’s head. He kept his breathing even, though his heart beat tight in his chest in fear for his dear friend. Lilith had been a great addition in his life as he was in hers. Their brothers often spent time together down at the docks fishing and the two of them would spend hours coming up with ways to screw up their chances of catching anything. Lilith was one of the few people he could actually talk to and now he would be damned if this jackass would harm her in anyway…especially if he didn’t know what was going on!

Lilith growled and yanked out of the first new comers hand, “Dare you…?” she moved back then, hand up, looking to her good friend and making sure she stayed focused on the strange woman still in the shop.

A growl escaped her throat as she lowered her head realizing even more that she was cornered. The next that happened was the least she had ever expected as a familiar face came barreling in to defend her. Shock over ran her senses, and she was amazed to see him alive let alone here.
"Da... Dante?" She could only step back again as another man came in, gun to his head now. She prayed to herself that he had his, terrified for him.
