Lyra was way lost. She had see Lilith and Donovan before in town and they were in a stand off with two people she didn't know or recognize at all. "Um...Excuse me but can someone please just step to the right so I can slip out from this shop before the bullets and fist start flying." she said looking at them.

He let go the hand on Lilith's gun, and turned to face the man. He leaned until the gun was pressing firmly to his flesh. His eyes shone his mischief, and he couldn't help a grin.
"Should I be afraid?" He took a rotating step to put himself between Reika and both guns, "before those shot and fists do go off let us grant the young lady's request if that is alright." He motioned behind his back for Reika to take the chance and leave as well, keeping his eyes on the man in front of him. "Those innocent and unarmed should not have to bare a threat."

Lyra waved quickly running from the shop to the street. She slowed to a slow walk once she was a little way from the store.

Donovan growled deep in his chest, keeping his gun up, putting himself between Lilith and this infuriating man, “Should I be? Or can we both be the gentlemen that I know these women expect and settle this with some shred of dignity…we are no animals here.” He didn’t shake or falter, his body solid in what it knew needed to be done in this moment, but his mind was screaming out at the danger set before him. Something about this man was intense and magnified…he wasn’t what he was appearing to be and it rocked Donovan Michael Donovan to his core.

She took full advantage of the lapse and distraction, pressing her hand to Dante's back as she bolted past, knowing they would find each other again. It lifted much of the weight and loss from her knowing he was there. She pushed through the door and ran to a nearby clothing store, hiding near the back searching through clothes to change into, desperately needing to blend in.

Lilith saw the women leave, but she didn't pursue, her fear now focused on her best friend in front of her...his whole being was hell bent on defending her, but the maturity in his blood made him appear to be calm, cool and absolutely collected. There was no shake to his hand, no change in his face...but perhaps that was simply because she hadn't seen his eyes yet...she put her hand up on his back in support and waited to see what all would happen now.

A grin spread on his lips as the other offered a diplomatic solution and he raised his hands as he felt the presure of Reika's hand and he saw her safely leave, "I would actually prefer we settle this without violence." He side stepped blocking the two still before him from chasing after her hands still raised.
"May I ask what started this?" He looked from one to the other, changing his body language, doing his best to be more defensive rather than intimidating.

Donovan frowned, "Your friend came storming into Ms. Lilith's shop...and startled her in a mighty fashion." he lowered his gun slowly and put it back into the small holster on his hip. He then put his own hands up and nodded, "She was simply defending her shop here." he took the time to scan the mans face and he swallowed hard, he definitely wasn't what he was trying to pass off. His eyes alone said that he couldn't be human. He kept his hand up, feeling Lilith's hand on his back and he felt a snip of courage growing behind his initial fear, "I appreciate the desire for a peaceful resolution to our issue here...you have my respect sir."

He nodded to the man watching his body shift, noting how he moved, watching his body language closely. He had an energy about him though it seemed confined, trapped somehow.
"I understand perfect, and thank you. You have my respect as well, I am glad knowing that there are still those that rush to the aide of their friend," he turned to look out the front window, not sure where she had gone and hoping Reika was safe at least, "She and I are not of this.... place, she is lost, afraid and confused" He turned back to them again, hands loosely on his hips.

Donovan nodded, relaxing his shoulders slightly, "Is there anything I can do to aid you? Where do you hail from sir...?" with a sudden thought he realized he had no name to call him by and offered his hand out to him, "My name is Donovan Michael Donovan...what shall I refer to you as sir?"

He smiled genuinely taking up the man's hand, "Antonio Chauncy Etherington, a pleasure Mr. Donovan, we are from a city a long ways from here," he looked up at Lilith, making eye contact hoping she would understand his words, "The time is much different there..." looking again to the man he stepped back again.
"I have been here longer than she has, in fact she just arrived recently, I was lucky to find her. Perhaps we could find her, and get this fully resolved." He lowered his shoulders, relaxing completely, slipping his thumbs into his pockets.

He saw the flicker of his eyes and he fought the urge to confront him over it, remaining in the calm state that he found himself in. The man was hiding something, but now was not the time to begin another fight. Yet it stuck in is mind that the name he had given was not the name he had heard before. He drew back his hand from the shake and nodded, masking any concern he had with a slight chuckle, " I would gladly be of assistance in your search for her if you require it." he moved back and looked to Lilith, "Unless you need me here of course."

Lilith saw his eyes and understood without a moments thought and nodded in response to this Antonio Chauncy Etherington...and when Donovan's question came she looked up to him, "It's alright. It's way past closing time anyways. I had been waiting to close up for the night..." she tried to smile and waved her hand, "Go on and do something grand with your evening." she felt the true smile rise to her lips and she hugged him, slipping a short drugged dagger into his coat pocket just in case he needed it. Her best friend had suffered before and she wasn't so sure about the man before them yet. "I will talk to you in the morning alright." she looked to Antonio for a moment, "Apologize to your friend for me. I am normally far kinder then that."

"I would truely appreciate the assistance," He nodded to Lilith, thanks showing in his eyes as he turned to head for the door, already looking up and down the street for his friend. He turned back one last time, "I will do just that, perhaps we will meet again"
The last few people at the windows had long left, bored with the lack of action. It made him shake his head in disaproval as he continued his search.

Donovan followed close behind the man, his eyes drifting over is back and the way muscle moved under skin. He was powerful...the obvious strength hiding just beneath the surface. He wondered if he was something to be feared or trusted...but for now...as all gentlemen should do...Donovan would help him find his friend.
Perhaps in the process he would discover more about this man and piece together the already scattered puzzle of who he was...
