Cory walked down the streets. He was very unhappy at the fact that someone had gotten into his shops taking one of his most preacious dolls and breaking a couple others in the process. He wanted and needed justice. Those doll had held a couple souls in peace, now those said souls were very unhappy. And when they are unhappy so was he. They were good at complaining.
Cory found the office. "Private Investigator. This is perfect." he said pushing the door open and walking inside. He looked around hearing no one and frowned. "Hello? Is anybody here?" he asked looking for anyone.

Drusilla Scarborough was in her office, watching the clouds through the large windows behind her desk.
She had finished tidying up quite a bit, putting paper work away and tying up some loose ends. Now she was waiting for someone to send her more paper work or better yet, a mystery she could work on.
Lately all she'd been working on had been small fry cases, enough to keep her barely in business. Thank god she had good friends at the police station who would pass on the small stuff to her.
Getting up from her chair, she watered the few plants she had scattered around the office and sighed.
~~~~~~
Drusilla looked up from her plants as she heard a voice from the reception room. "Yes! Coming!!" Putting the watering can down, she opened her office door and smiled at the young man. "Hello, can I help you?"
"Hello miss. Are you the detective?" he asked bowing his head. "I am in need of assistance. Someone has broken into my shop stealing and breaking priceless preacious dolls." he said looking at her. The police had been no help to him and so he went to get a private detective.
"Yes, I am Drusilla Scarborough, Private Detective." She smiled and gestured into her office. "Please come in! Would you like some tea or coffee? Make your self at home." leaving the door open, she moved towards her desk and pulled the chair out, still smiling.
Hopefully this was going to be interesting!
"May I have a cup of tea Madam?" he asked following after her into her office. If she laughed him like the police had done he would snap and sick the angry spirits on them till he could build them new dolls to inhabit.
Cory sat in one of the soft chairs oppisite her looking at her. "I'm Cornelius Badgar. Cory for short. I own the small but busy, suprisingly, doll shop a small ways from here. Last night after locking up and going home like normal I thought things were perfectly find. Though as I arrived this morning my young intern Autumn was cleaning the broken porcalin and case of my dolls and their cases." he said trying not to growl it out as the following spirits began to bicker once again. He didn't understand how other mediums could handle it. It gave him a spilting migrain. "Miss Scarborough I want whom ever thought to compit this crime chaught. I'll pay what you ask to be the fee.
Moving to the tea set, Drusilla pulled a tea cozy off the pot of tea and prayed it was still warm. Pouring a cup, she smiled when she saw steam rise and poured herself a cup as well. Putting the tea on the serving tray with a bowl of sugar cubes, a small pitcher of milk, and a few lemon slices, she brought the tray over to set in front of Cory. Setting the tea cup and saucer in front of him, she moved to sit in her chair on the other side of the desk.
"I would love to help you, I will be able to set the fee when and if the culprit is caught. The minimal charge will be one hundred with a fifty dollar down payment. Any other fees I will keep you informed of and you will of course have the ability to deny these fees if you feel they are unnecessary." She took a sip of tea, thinking.
"I would like to hear what your thoughts are on who you think it might have been, or what their motive was. Do you keep valuables in your shop? Did they only destroy your dolls?"
Cory wrote out the check quickly giving it to her then listened to her questions. He could only shake his head. "Miss I'm a doll maker. My money is kept in a safe that only I know the combination to and mainly the store is full of doll that I create to be sold here or are to be shipped off. My dolls hold spirits, That is their value." he said sipping the tea after he'd mixed in a sugar cube and milk.
"Was there any specific spirit that was targeted? Maybe a family or friend who opposes the idea of Spirits put into dolls?" She added a lump of sugar with a little lemon.
"The doll that had been taken was going to the family of a young girl who is in the hospital. The price had been lowered to seventy dollars. The dolls that were broken were already inhabited by spirits who were resting in peace." he said rubbing the bridge of his nose. His head felt like it was going to split.
Drusilla nodded. "That is a place to start. Have you had contact with the family of the little girl lately?"
"No. Last I had heard that they were going to pick up the doll tomorrow and take it to their daughter." he said shaking his head. "Ma'am I do not have enemies, and I just want justice and to get back to my jobs." he said softly.
Drusilla nodded and set down her tea cup, very serious. "I understand, Mr. Badger. Let me assure you, I will do anything in my power to apprehend the culprit." She smiled a small smile "I'm afraid I don't know when to give up."
Standing, she pulled out a packet of paperwork from a file cabinet. Sliding it across the desk, she pulled out a pen and handed it to Cornelius.
"I will need you to read through this and sign at the bottom. It is a document stating that yes you have hired my services, that you are within the law to do so, and that you will provide myself with anything that you would deem as important information. I will sign it as well saying that I am committing myself to solving your mystery, I will keep you informed of any developments, and that I have indeed received your down payment. Do you have any questions?"
Cory took the paperwork and the pen signing it all handing it back. "Thank you ma'am. I hope you catch that culprit." Cory bowed slipping his top hat back onto his head. He stood walking to the door and called back. "Thank you again madam." then he was gone. ((EXIT))
