She stood outside of the Town Hall, dressed all in browns and golds. Her hair was up in a hundred braids, ribbons weaved into them that hung down to her back, twisted in waves of color. The sky was clear, the air cool and scented with wild flowers and far off rains. Sophia was here to learn about this new city she found herself in. Her mind craved the knowledge that she lacked. She couldn't explain to herself why she needed this...just that it was something she desired deeply.

He was shivering when he awoke on his discarded blanket and rags, his eyes automatically snapping around the alley he had chosen to sleep in the night before. There was no danger here; Dorian was only awoken by the chill that had spread through his body. He sat up and rolled his neck, points popping that made him jerk in pain. The client from the day before had been rough, Dorian was sure his neck and chest was covered in purple bruises from just how violent the man had been with him. He stood up, leaving the nasty blanket on the cement and moved away to try and shake off the sleep. He honestly had no idea where he was…having only arrived in this town a few weeks before; he still had no idea where things were. Dorian had been sent by the Germans in order to spread the Aryan race across their newly acquired America’s. They didn’t really care how he or the others they sent did it, as long as it happened…and quickly…they had left him with nothing to begin his mission. He stepped out of the alley, thankful that not many people were on the street. The scent of hot food and coffee made his stomach churn. He felt around in his pockets for the money he had made with his client and sighed in relief when he found it easily. He turned his head, letting his nose guide him for a moment, only to begin a path to a bakery just up the street. He went inside and bought himself some fresh hot break and a flask of spring water. When Dorian finished he went back outside and took a good look around. Perhaps he could find a small hotel or something to stay in. Anything would be better than dark alleys. As his eyes wandered, he couldn’t help but pause on a woman across the street from where he stood. She was absolutely stunning in the sunlight, her hair done up in colors and ribbons. She seemed like she had something important to do, but her body language said she was rather hesitant He swallowed the bite of bread he had in his mouth and tucked his purchase away into a pocket on his coat. With a quick stepped he crossed the street and headed into her direction.
