The silence that permeated the air was thick enough for Sylkva's tension to be higher than average, and given the usual level of nerves Sylva usually had it meant the werepanther was on high alert. It didn't take him long to find his target though. The shack e was silently perched upon was simply put a killzone, anywhere within twenty yards he could pounce and his dagger ready for a quick take down to the throat. His target was easily spotted in the dark, Sylva's catlik eyes easily piercing through the dark.
With a silent pounce and swift movement Sylva's ruby encrusted dagger plunged into throat of his target and flashed out. Before he was unable to retreat into darkness as he heard the footsteps approaching. He would just have to improvise.

Lyra froze seeing him with the knife. "I'm....sorry for intruding." she said in a paniced voice back stepping. It clicked that she was not on the main street anymore and infact down near the waterfront. She was trying to staying calm as she back stepped again looking around. She didn't want to turn her back to the armed man for fear he'd then attack her and she only had a pen. She tried to think...How far was she from home now, and how fast could she run to get back to a safer area.

Sylva watched the woman back away and calculated the distance between the two and smiled his most disarming smilebefore sliding the knife out of sight. He relaxed completely and the only person around the two was deceased. With a calm hair the British voice beckoned from his voice.
"I'm sorry to give you a fright. And well. I seem to be in bit of a sore spot you see. The chap attacked me and I ahd to defend myself but of course it wouldn't look good for me. Could you help a fellow out and help me get him into the water? And then we can part ways if you'd like,"Sylva was wincing inwardly. The last thing he needed was witness but an instinct told him he would need to keep this one around. And besides he was here on a political assignment from here majesty. He wasn't too concerned with the law at the moment. He let the option hang and after a moment started to satre at the body with a look of deep concern on his face.

"Good heaven no i will not help you get the man to the water." Lyra said shocked at his question. "I wish nothing to do with him or you and wont have his blood on my hands" she said turning and started on her way back toward main street.

Sylva sighed and closed his eyes before leaping nimbly in front of the woman.
"Alright my dear I can understand. To put it simply I'm here the U.S. on a mission from her majesty. Apparently things are brewing and I was hoping not get you involved but sadly you're a witness to a secret assignment. I do not wish to attack nor kill you so please aid me and we can part ways and thus my assignment stays out of jeopardy and you can go merrily on your way. He was an opium traficker so the world is best off without him." Sylva was trying for one last last chance at reasoning with the woman. Hoepfully she'll comply and they can merrily go on there way. He decided she needed a sign of trust.
"I'll even give you my name and what I do to get you to trust me but please don't make me do something I'll regret."

"Listen to me sir. Great the traficker is taken care up. No I am not going to help you or tell a soul. I will let the police find him. So dissappear and leaving me be." Lyra said on a near growl placing her hand on the pistol at her hip. She just wanted to get home, she wished her brother would show up. She was supposed to have been home long before for the little dinner her father, brother, and herself were to have

Cory walked along the streets glancing at the pocket watch. Where was his sister at, Lyra knew about tonight, and Cory was not in the mood to find his sister lost. He stopped though hearing her voice and ran in her direction. "Lyra!" he called. When he reached her he checked his little sister over to make sure she was okay and no harm had come to her. He didn't bother with the man as he started to take Lyra back to their fathers house. "Come little one, dads worried as well." he said wrapping an arm around her so he walked close to her. Still not noticing the other man.

Sylva was exasperrated and then settled down and turned to leave when another man approached. It really was not his day he sighed softly and almost smiled when he heard the man use the womans name. Interesting he could use this at a later point in time. With barely a sound Sylva turned and melted from sight into the darkness of the alleyways around. The trafficker was dead all he needed now was to find a chemist to help him discover why the opium in his pocket was such a deadly strain. It was going to be an interesting time.
