Lyra sat the last small box on the wooden floor moving to the window looking out. It was still early morning and the sun still slept beyond the horizon. Everyone slept with it except her. She was exhausted and the circles under her eyes darkened but still Lyra looked out on the slowly lightening world. She'd bought this apartment with some help from her father so that she could grow up and maybe find love, and so that when something blew up her father wouldn't worry if his house was going to burn or she was dead. Lyra blamed her accidents on not having space to work with, but now she was in her own apartment with her own space.
A sparkle caught her eye bringing her out of a sleepy thought montage af her father. The sun was peeking now throwing its light out onto the morning dew and painting the sky the color of faded rose, dark magenta, and the dissappearing of indigo from the night. "So lovely..." she whispered watching with a comtent sigh. She loved the dawn, and the sunsets it made her feel closer to her mother. Turning from the sight Lyra closed and locked her door Then set about unpacking.
